How to Start a Viking Reenactment Group
So you want to start your own group. But how do you go about it?
Well, to start, you need four paid members. See joining VNA. Once you have four members, you need to organize how your group works by adopting a set of bylaws.
The most import aspect of the bylaws is determining how the group selects officers. Your group needs, at a minimum, a group leader and an authenticity officer. If anyone is interested in combat, a combat training officer is also required.
The second most important thing would be picking a name and a group focus. It can be a period or modern name. The group focus can be as specific as you want.
Once group officers are selected, bylaws ratified, and four members have paid dues, congratulations! You’ve started a new group. At this point, we will be sending files and information to your group and helping your group registered on the website.
